Fair trade means a trading partnership, based on dialogue, transparency & respect, that seeks greater equity in inter trade. Fair trade products means, mostly handmade products, which are prepared by skilled women & men of different countries. WFTO – World Fair Trade Organization based out in the Netherlands framed 10 basic principles for Fair trade producers such as fair payment offer to the artisans, no child & forced labor….etc.

A Few Indian Manufacturers are members of WFTO, who manufacture many handmade products including cushion cover, wall hanging, dhurrie, women’s stoles & many other products. Some Manufacturers have NGOs status, which really care about their fair trade products and women & men artisans, to sustain their livelihood.
